Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream.

I am so late to the party on BB creams.  Heck, I can't even figure out how to use tinted moisturizer correctly!  So when the whole BB cream world exploded, I hear we are now onto CC creams and DD creams and heck, even Philosophy has an "A to Z' cream (the hell?!)

So it was kinda a 'oh no..' moment when I opened up my #SunVoxBox from Influenster and found the Olay Fresh Effects BB cream.  Sure the box is pretty, and you get a ton of product in it (2.2 FL OZs!) but I was clueless on how to use it.

Like I said, I am totally late to the party with BB creams, and had many rookie questions on how to use this properly.  And it clearly states on the tube BB Cream skin perfecting TINTED MOISTURIZER (so not a true BB cream?!)

So after watching videos on how to apply it, it looked easy enough, just kinda slap some on and blend it out, and learning the most important thing, which is not to use an additional moisturizer under it. DUH! I tried it.

I received the Light to Medium color.  It went on sheer and was easy to blend, it didn't irritate my eyes with the broad spectrum spf 15, and didn't slide around on my face and stayed put.  I do wish it had a higher SPF, but for a quick everyday look.  15 is better than nothing!  On a very hot and muggy day, I did notice I did get a wee bit shiny, but nothing close to grease face.  Just a wee bit of powder fixed it.

Overall, is this a miracle product? No. But for a person just starting out into the BB realm, it is a good product. User error on this is very low.   If you are used to tinted moisturizers, this should be an easy product for you.  When this is added to my empties would I purchase? I thin I will.

I received this product for testing purposes from Infuenster.

SinfulShine nail polish.. It's a great thing to have!

I received this product complimentary for the testing purposes from Influenster.

When I first opened my #SunVoxBox from Influenster, I was very excited to see which of the Sinful Colors #SinfulShine was included.

I received Darkroom.  At first I was a little bummed that it was black, but then I remembered a key color for many different designs could be created with a great black color.

Black is a great color to have in your collection.  And a long lasting glossy black, can be the LBD in your mani life.

I had zero problems applying this, and didn't need a topcoat for this color to shine.  It wore well and I had only just a wee bit of nail tip wear.

I am a huge fan overall with the Sinful Colors line, and own many, many colors, and at that point, haven't tried the SinulShine.

I am really glad that I did get Darkroom, because now I am curious to try others.

For their price, which retails for 2.99 it is quite the bargain and rivals brands at a higher price point.

So the next time you see a SinfulShine color that catches your eye, grab one!  Because we all need a little treat now and then.

The Taste: Tuesday at 8|7c on ABC

I really didn't think I would like this show, I mean, it has been done a bazillion other times.  And I really couldn't imagine Anthony Bourdain being all network tv like.  Watching and loving him to bits on "No Reservations", loving the fact that his snark comes out in full force, and catching that ever elusive real smile from him, and learning about the places he travels.. Not to mention his really insightful "Beirut" show.  If you are fan, you can see why the 'network' would be hard to imagine..

And Nigella Lawson.  Love her show, love her ease with cooking.  I could see her working in this format.  But wondering if her personality would be allowed to shine.

I wasn't too aware of the other chefs, but curious.

If you break the show down into parts, it is a rather interesting concept.  Pro chelfs, home cooks and hobbyist competing for a spot with the chefs.  All trying to land a spot on the chefs teams.

Sure, this could work, but often, "reality" shows somehow loose the goal they set out for.

So, trying to find something to watch on tv, and sadly seeing nothing worth watching, The Taste pops up on the menu.  Lacking anything else that sounded interesting, and mildy curious, I turn to ABC and watch.

Trying not to let my preconceived notion about this show, I found myself being more drawn in.  And after seeing "chef" after chef trying out, I started to really become interested in this.

Of course you have your run of the mill line up (the cocky one, the bitchy one, the whiney one, the under dog, ect..) you find that you are actually rooting for a few, and dare I say, hoping a few don't make it.

By the end of the show, I was actually shocked that I became kinda invested in a few people, and of course, utterly charmed by Anthony Bourdain.  I really like it when he shows his softer side, but you know with his team, a big ole "oh hell no!" meeting is coming.

The following week, it was me who said "hey lets watch The Taste!".. And wacthing the chefs try to cook in a more real time feeling format, than some of the Foodnetwork shows, is becoming rather addicting.

And yes, I will be watching again on Tuesdays at ABC 8/7cst.

Hey, at least it isn't one of those "Real Housewives" shows! *side eye at you Mom*
